Erin Wooddell Ellen Strikes Again While I don't like to be scared, I find it highly amusing to watch Ellen scare celebrities on her show. Since her favorite thing to do is jump out and startle people, Halloween is obviously one of her favorite holidays. Almost every season, she sets up a haunted house in the studio. This year, she captured two of her staff members as they make their way through the maze, and while I can totally relate to the fright on their faces, it provided a really good laugh. | High-five, Ellen, for making being scared look so funny. |
Guy Who Rides His Bike Like a Daredevil and Gives The Public an Inside Look
Adrenaline sports are something I don't really understand. Skydiving? Why on earth would you jump out of a perfectly good airplane? Scuba diving? What if you run out of oxygen and can't swim fast enough to catch up to others to buddy-breathe? Sports that create adrenaline also come with a serious amount of risk, and if there's one thing I'm not, it's a risk-taker.
Yet, I'm still fascinated by those who are. Last year there was a special on a guy who free-climbs the "Sentinel" at Yosemite National Park. I was riveted and glued to the broadcast.
And then there are people who post sky-diving videos and I watch them, mouth agape, as I try to figure out why they would choose to do such a scary thing.
Mountain biking never seemed like that risky of a sport. Helmets are involved, you have braking capabilities and normally you're in the mountains on a terrain built for that kind of bike. But then I saw the following video and couldn't believe what this guy, Kerry McGarry, did on his mountain bike:
