Hey guys, I’m sure you’re already aware, but it’s Thursday. That means Grey’s Anatomy is on tonight. The dreaded, two-hour episode that will tackle what happened last week and why we were all knee-deep in Kleenex, cursing Shonda Rhimes.
The biggest question left on my heart isn’t how Meredith will go on, it’s how I will go on—with this show.

Part of me has always been a steadfast Grey’s Anatomy fan. I swore I’d watch the show until they got rid of Meredith and Derek... or until it went off the air.
To be honest, I’m not sure where I stand with tonight’s episode. I was so distraught last week, watching everything unfold, that I'm not sure I want to put myself through more heartache.
Anticipating this reaction, Ellen Pompeo posted a message to her fans, asking them to join her on Meredith’s journey of surviving this loss.
But honestly, hasn’t Meredith survived enough?
A bomb, a drowning, a shooting, a plane crash.
When will the over-the-top tragedy end for this poor character who’s suffered more than most people suffer in a lifetime? We know she’s a fighter. We know she’s capable. I just don’t understand why--in this fictional world--she also needed to lose her husband. The love of her life. Her McDreamy.
It was hard enough losing George, then saying goodbye to Izzie and Cristina. I'm not sure what Grey's Anatomy will be like without any "Mc" male characters. They'll probably bring in some new love interest and we'll all hate him. On principle. Sadly, Derek's tragic death removes the need to re-watch any of the old seasons, now that we know how their love story ends. And this is an end none of us saw coming.

Will you be watching tonight's episode of Grey's Anatomy, to see how Meredith copes? Or have you washed your hands of the series? Do you think the show will survive without MerDer?
