Erin Wooddell
This past weekend I spend upwards of 17 hours in my car. Making the trek to West Virginia for my Granddaddy's party was no easy feat. I took off work Friday, traveled the eight hours home, and turned right around to make the trip back on Sunday. An accident and road work contributed to my quality time with Blanche (my car) on the way back, extending my trip more than an hour.
I love driving and I love road trips, but spending multiple hours on a straight road by myself can get a little boring. I came prepared with lots of snacks, books on tape and several new mixes.
Sometimes it's easier to create a whole new mix than to try carting around every single CD that may have one or two songs I'll want to listen to. For this trip, I created a master techno playlist. Nothing like loud beats and the irresistible urge to dance to keep your mind on the task at hand--like, you know, driving.
Enjoy!
