There’s nothing better than when two of my favorite hobbies collide. I’m talking about cooking and watching TV. Last week when Lily went crazy for the “sombitches cookies” on How I Met Your Mother, I knew I needed that recipe.
To my delight, one of our readers shared the recipe published on People.com. (Thanks Caitlin!) Last night, I tried out the recipe and made a few adjustments (what can I say, I like to make recipes my own).
The result? If my husband’s reaction is any indication, this recipe is a success! Try it yourself and let me know what you think.

Directions
1. Beat the first 4 ingredients with an electric mixer until smooth.
2. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat until blended.
3. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl. Add to butter mixture, beating until blended. Cover and chill 45 minutes.
4. Cut Snickers bars in half.
5. Preheat oven to 350°F.
6. Shape a 2 tbsp. dough around each piece of candy bar.
7. Place cookies 3 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Seriously, these babies expand a lot, don’t try to squeeze tons of them on each cookie sheet (I learned this the hard way.).
8. Bake 13-14 minutes or until lightly browned.
9. Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire cooling racks.
